Urgent Care Nursing Professional
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Urgent Care Service. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing support and ensure all patients that present to the service are identified as being appropriate, triaged promptly and provided with front-line care in collaboration with medical practitioners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Nursing Triaging: Be the first point of contact for patients in urgent care – take charge of triaging every patient who walks through the door with accuracy, empathy, and confidence.
* Clinical Skills: Conduct thorough and precise nursing triage, quickly assess patient needs and prioritize care to ensure the best outcomes.
* Emergency Response: Act decisively in critical moments – identify and elevate emergencies or patient deterioration without hesitation to safeguard patient health.
* Procedural Care: Put your clinical skills to work – perform hands-on procedural care such as suturing and plastering in a fast-paced environment.
* Patient-Centered Care: Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care – collaborate closely with patients, their families, carers, and medical practitioners to ensure a supportive care experience.
Requirements:
* Current AHPRA Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Availability: Availability during evenings and weekends.
* Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least 3 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting, ICU, CCU, rural, or remote nursing.
* Triage Experience: Previous experience in triage with an emergency department or remote nursing is preferred.
* Certifications: Required to provide a Working with Children's check and National Police check if not already obtained.
