King Truss is a long-established building supplies business based at Bells Creek, near Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast. For more than 30 years, we have supplied quality frames and trusses to builders across Southeast and Central Queensland, with customers from Bundaberg to Ballina.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Frame & Truss Detailer to join our team.
This role suits someone who takes pride in accurate, practical designs and enjoys working closely with manufacturing, builders, estimators and engineers to get the details right before jobs move into production.
What you'll be doing
You will be responsible for preparing accurate frame and truss layouts, making sure designs are compliant, efficient and ready for manufacture.
Your work will include:
* Producing accurate and compliant frame and truss layouts
* Reviewing plans and specifications to identify issues early
* Ensuring detailing aligns with engineering, building code and manufacturing requirements
* Liaising with builders, supervisors, engineers and estimators to confirm job information
* Preparing documentation for manufacturing
* Assisting with site measurements, where required
About you
You are an experienced detailer who understands residential construction and knows how important accuracy is to the builder, the factory and the end result.
You will bring:
* Strong experience in frame and truss detailing
* A sound understanding of residential building plans and construction methods
* Excellent attention to detail
* Clear written and verbal communication skills
* Good planning and organisational ability
* A practical approach to problem-solving
* Reliability, initiative and ownership of your work
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn King Truss systems and processes
Experience with Multinail software would be well regarded, but it is not essential for the right person. If you have strong detailing experience, the right values and a genuine commitment to producing quality work, King Truss will provide retraining time and a structured ramp-up period to help you transition successfully.
