About The Role

SANFL is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as Head of Brand, Media & Communications. This full time pivotal role is responsible for driving effective brand, media, and communications strategies to elevate the positive brand profile of SANFL, its competitions, products, and programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategic oversight of marketing and brand strategies for SANFL, its competitions, products, and businesses.
- Enhance and protect the SANFL brand, broadening community understanding of SANFL’s impact.
- Play a key role in effectively managing stakeholders within the external and internal environments.
- Lead all media liaison activities, including media monitoring, issues management, and maximising media presence at SANFL events.
- Develop and execute innovative PR strategies and earned media opportunities.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality corporate communications across all channels.
- Support broadcast and streaming agreements and strategies.
- Provide effective leadership, fostering a high-performing, engaged team including direct and indirect reports.

About You

- A degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Media, or a related field.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- DHS Working with Children Clearance.
- Demonstrated success in enhancing and protecting brand reputation.
- Proven experience in managing and maximising media engagement.
- Expertise in developing and executing PR and communications strategies, including digital.
- Highly developed leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail.
- Experience in crisis management, web design, and brand management.
