Children's Home Leader Opportunity
Polaris Community is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead our brand new service in Bridgwater, Somerset.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to manage a 4 bedded children's home and oversee a team of staff members. As a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care is delivered to young people, providing a positive and enriching living experience that meets their needs and achieves the best possible outcomes.
You will be accountable for the smooth and efficient management and administration of the home, undertaking wider operational tasks as required. You must be able to produce, update and monitor plans, reports, etc., and deliver to deadlines. A well-organised, efficient, and flexible approach to managerial duties is essential.

* Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Children's Home legislation and inspection requirements.
* A comprehensive understanding of child protection/safeguarding procedures and protocols.
* Hold a recognised social work qualification (e.g., Diploma in Leadership and Management or equivalent).
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in residential childcare, with at least 1 year of supervising and managing staff.
Key Responsibilities
On-call duties are also required (approximately 2 times per month). You must be licensed to drive a manual gear car and have use of your own vehicle with business insurance.

* 22 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
* Occupancy Bonus: £525 pcm
* £2000 car allowance
* On call payments: £10 per day Monday-Fridays and £50 for Saturday and Sunday
* Enhanced sick pay: 5 days full sick pay
