Gough Plastics is a local family company, we take pride in manufacturing our products right here in Townsville and exporting them to destinations worldwide. We currently have a team of 35 people, growing to 50 within 2 years. Our commitment to excellence, sustainability, and innovation is at the heart of everything we do. We are recruiting for a second/third year apprentice who is progressing towards obtaining CERT 111 Boiler Maker/Welding or a person who has already a Boiler Maker/Welder certification
About the Role
* General Fabrication including Road Trailers (water tankers)/Supporting Frames.
* Structural Welding (e.g. mould fames, lifting points)
* Mould Maintenance
* Rust Prevention
* Spray Painting
* Panel Beating

Skills/Qualifications
* Qualified Boilermaker or close too
* Resilience – Mental toughness to endure repeat repair work
* Attitude – Get better, wanting to improve and can improvise
* Adaptive- can handle disruption
* Methodical/Pride – likes to oversee well maintained equipment
* Pass a Drug & Alcohol test
* Be proficient with hand tools
* Carry out physical work with ease
* Follow Work Health and Safety policies and procedures
* Communicate effectively
* Work in a team environment
* Have a forklift licence(desirable)
