Join us as our next HSEQ Coordinator and take a hands‐on role in shaping a strong safety and quality culture across our Tasmanian sites. We're looking for someone who understands management systems, connects easily with people, and brings a grounded, practical mindset to HSEQ. This isn't a clipboard‐and‐compliance job; you'll be out in the field, partnering with teams, building capability, and helping ensure safe, compliant work is simply how we operate.
Reporting to the Head of HSEQ & Compliance, you'll provide day‐to‐day support across your designated locations, contribute to the ongoing health of our Integrated Management System, and play a key role in helping the business meet its HSEQ and regulatory obligations. Your work will directly influence how our teams think, act and deliver; making you a visible, trusted driver of safe, high‐quality performance.
Your work will include:
* Promoting and supporting compliance with WHS, environmental and quality legislation across office and site operations
* Managing the incident database, coordinating investigations and following through to close outstanding actions
* Preparing, updating and managing HSEQ documents and site‐specific safety management plans
* Coordinating HSEQ programs including calibrations, inspections, internal and external audits
* Developing safe work procedures and identifying training needs to make sure employees are properly instructed and supervised
* Analysing HSEQ data and producing reports that highlight areas of success and improvement
* Coaching and supporting senior managers to build their HSEQ capability
* Consulting with employees and other stakeholders to improve decision‐making and IMS outcomes
* Providing administrative support to Process Owners for document updates in our Quality Management System
What you'll bring:
* Minimum four years' experience in a similar HSEQ role, preferably in construction or a related industry
* Solid understanding of WHS legislation, environmental requirements and quality standards
* Experience working with integrated management systems and compliance frameworks
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities across different sites
* Good communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
* Permanent working rights in Australia
Qualifications:
* Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (essential)
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
* Certificate IV in Environmental Management & Sustainability (desirable)
* Internal auditor certification (desirable)
