Key Responsibilities
We are looking for C&E Sales Exec to join the brand-new team at QT Parramatta, this role will be pivotal in the opening of the hotel. You'll play a key role in shaping the hotel's selling strategy by identifying creative ways to convert enquiries and building lasting relationships with clients.
* Drive sales across the full event spectrum — from intimate meetings and corporate conferences to glamorous banquets and weddings, converting enquiries into confirmed, revenue-generating bookings
* Own the sales conversation end-to-end — respond to all inbound enquiries through multiple channels, conduct compelling hotel site inspections, and proactively follow up leads to win business
* Hit and exceed C&E revenue targets — execute both reactive and proactive sales strategies, upselling and suggestively selling to maximise spend per event and grow repeat business
* Maintain accurate, clean data across IVvy and the conference client database, ensuring every booking, invoice and sales activity is captured to best practice standard
* Partner with Reservations, Operations and other departments to align room blocks, maximise sales opportunities and ensure seamless guest experiences
* Stay sharp on the competition — track lost business insights, enter findings into IVvy and upscale where needed to keep QT and EVT competitive and agile in the market
* Be across the full QT and EVT commercial picture — stay informed on local and national C&E campaigns, ensuring client conversations reflect the latest offers and brand positioning
* Deliver clear reporting and insight — prepare regular and ad hoc reports for the local management and Group Sales teams, translating sales activity into actionable intelligence
What You'll Bring
* 2+ years of previous experience in similar role ideally coming from the Hotels or Event companies.
* Experience in coordinating and managing end-to-end conference and event sales, with a strong focus on yield management and revenue growth.
* Skilled in designing and delivering training programs, tracking development progress, and maintaining up-to-date training resources.
* Demonstrated success in building strong industry relationships and promoting loyalty programs to enhance client engagement and retention.
* Adept at cross-functional collaboration, reporting, and strategic planning to support smooth event execution and drive departmental profitability.
