Overview:
As the Visual Designer, you will join the Digital & Customer Experience Team. The team is responsible for digital product strategy and development and overlooking the operation of digital experiences. The team works across our branded websites, customer service portal and social channels.
Responsibilities:
Craft usable and engaging digital design solutions while working alongside a cross-disciplinary team.
Hands on practical UI design supporting scrum team development
Work with common design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Sketch, Miro, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Adherence to standards and guidelines set by provided UI Kits, branded pattern libraries, or Design Systems. Demonstrate usability and accessibility best practices in your work.
Produce new components for UI Kits or Design Systems for the benefit of current and future projects.
Conduct quality assurance as required to ensure proper implementation, and work with design and technical teams to hone the experience and final output.
Experience working with product designers, PMs, and engineers. You have the skills to communicate, and collaborate directly with engineers and members of the product team. And are happy to work in an agile environment.
Have the basics covered. You have a strong understanding of information architecture, interactive design, and are familiar with web accessibility best practices
Confident using the latest design tools. We expect you to have experience using Figma to create high-fidelity designs and prototypes - utilising features such as design system variants & auto-layout
Experience:
3+ years UI design experience
Knowledge of contemporary design and development methodologies
Proficiency in design and prototyping in Figma
Deep knowledge of design principles for Web solutions
Recent and relevant experience in visual and interaction design.
Confirmed track-record of hands-on user-interface and visual design
Experience working in a true agile setting
