Bundaberg West State School is seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and community.
This is a permanent part-time position (23 hours per week, 3.5 hours every morning remaining hours in the afternoon, days negotiable).
School cleaners play a vital role in the school community through high standards of cleaning practices and keeping the appearance of the school at a high standard.
It is the responsibility of school cleaners to deliver a clean and hygienic learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities
* Cleaning and Sanitizing: Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, dust furniture, shelves, and fixtures, and clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
* Restroom Maintenance: Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, and other restroom fixtures, and restock supplies such as soap and paper towels.
* Waste Management: Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in designated areas.
* Specialized Tasks: Perform heavy cleaning, waxing floors, or handling hazardous materials following safety protocols.
* Routine Inspections: Conduct inspections to ensure areas remain sanitary and report maintenance issues.
* Adherence to Protocols: Follow cleaning schedules, safety guidelines, and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
