About the role
We'relooking for a Senior Accountant to become a key player in our Investment Finance teambased in Brisbaneon a full-timepermanent basis.Specialising in Infrastructure Investments,you'llgain exposure to the dynamic investment management industry while making a meaningful impact on our investment strategies.
You will work closely with theInfrastructureasset class, supporting the deliveryof thefund accounting functionandcontributingto the execution of key investment part of a team where yourexpertiseis valued, and your contributions drive outcomes. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Oversee and manage all operational and reporting activities forInfrastructure, ensuringtimelydelivery of unit pricing, performance reporting, investor statements, taxation workpapers, regulatory submissions, and annual audited financialstatement.
* Activelyparticipatein strategic initiatives such as portfolio investment acquisitions,realisations,restructures and transitions, capital and debt raising, and other client-driven directives.
* Ensure effective controls and processes are in place tocomply withinvestment mandate obligations and QIC's internal controls framework, policies, and procedures.
* Provideactionable financial insights byleveragingdata and reporting from oureFrontInvest system.
* Build yourexpertisein a fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional environment with a focus on innovation and excellence.
* Drive outcomes through collaboration with internal stakeholders across treasury management, investment and financial reporting, technical accounting, risk, legal, tax matters, and performance reporting.
* Assist the Tax team as needed tomonitorand manage the taxation risks and obligations across the infrastructure portfolio.
About You
* Demonstrated experience in funds management,with a CA or CPA qualification.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles relating to financial instruments, valuation methodologies, foreignexchangeand income taxes.
* Financial statement preparation (coordinating key stakeholders to audit clearance) in compliance with financial reporting standards and frameworks across a multi-jurisdictional environment.
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, with an ability to learn new systems skills.
* Strong problem solving and analytical ability, capable of managing complex tasks and projects simultaneously, whilstmaintaininga high standard of accuracy.
