About The Role
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 1 – Oncology, you'll provide specialised nursing care to patients across all stages of their cancer journey. You will carry out comprehensive assessments, apply diagnostic reasoning, and manage treatment-related complications in consultation with Medical Specialists. Working closely with Cancer Care Coordinators, McGrath Nurses, Allied Health professionals, and medical and nursing colleagues, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring timely access to care and a seamless treatment experience for patients and their families.
About You
You will bring recent experience in Oncology or Haematology nursing and ideally hold accreditation in cannulation. A compassionate and proactive nurse, you demonstrate strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills and can work both autonomously and collaboratively within a small but growing multidisciplinary team. You are skilled at managing complex situations, including identifying and resolving conflict while maintaining professionalism. As a team player who thrives in a supportive environment, you are committed to delivering patient-centred care and bring strong communication and leadership capabilities, with the ability to work under pressure and provide guidance to colleagues.
Requirements
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Relevant postgraduate qualifications in oncology nursing (or working towards)
