Job Opportunity Overview
This role oversees and supports Aboriginal community involvement in clinical trials across the Murrumbidgee Local Health District. It involves establishing and maintaining partnerships with Aboriginal communities, ensuring culturally safe practices.
* Aboriginal Community Partnerships Development: Establishing and maintaining relationships with local Aboriginal communities to ensure their engagement and participation in clinical trials.
* Clinical Trial Implementation Support: Providing guidance and support to implement clinical trial protocols according to governance frameworks and standards.
* Clinical Trial Awareness and Training: Collaborating to raise awareness about clinical trials, develop initiatives, and deliver training opportunities for the community.
* Aboriginal Health Impact Strategies: Preparing and implementing strategies that reflect the needs, priorities, and values of Aboriginal people in relation to health impacts.
* Community Engagement Strategy Development: Assisting in the development and delivery of community engagement strategies to increase participation in clinical trials by Aboriginal communities.
About You
* Significant experience in engaging with Aboriginal communities and developing partnerships.
* Knowledge of culturally safe healthcare practices and Aboriginal Health Impact Statements.
* Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple organizations and health districts.
* Strong project management skills, with ability to manage competing priorities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and engagement with Aboriginal communities.
