Our client, a privately owned leader in Food Processing, has presented a career‐enhancing opening for Full‐Time Day‐Shift Maintenance Fitter at their Broadmeadows, VIC further processing facility. Due to industry demand, the business is adding to their 1500+ employees during this growth phase.
Hourly Rate: $47.70 + super
Shift: 5am – 1pm, Monday to Friday/Tuesday to Saturday
Overtime: Available for those interested – x2.0 on Sundays
Workday: 8‐hour shifts, 38‐hour week
Some weekend work required and overtime available for industry award.
Key Responsibilities
* Organise and maintain the day‐to‐day running of the site's production lines, associated plant/equipment and fixed property
* Responsible for keeping the equipment performing to its required production rate, exceeding these rates where possible
* Responsible for maintaining the preventative maintenance programme in relation to the production line to ensure there are minimal unplanned stoppages and breakdowns
Ideal Candidate
* Holds a current Mechanical Trade certification – Fitter or Machinist – and has a good understanding of fault finding and repair on production machinery
* Previous experience in FMCG environment with an understanding of good manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements
* Welding experience
* Experience with high speed packing machines, conveyors, sensors, packers, etc.
* Attitude of continuous learning and communicates positive energy to the team
