About the Opportunity
This is a continuing teaching appointment, with an initial appointment to the Program Leader (Learning Enhancement) position, including a Middle Leader Allowance, concluding at the end of the current triennium (December 2026). Two subsequent three‐year appointments with the Middle Leader Allowance can be offered subject to satisfactory performance in this role.
In This Position You Will Be Responsible For
* Lead the designated program in the school.
* Supervise teachers engaged in the program throughout the school.
* Induct new teachers within the program (or supervise the induction where it is undertaken by another experienced teacher).
* Monitor program outcomes for students and address concerns through appropriate interventions.
* Coordinate the work of staff engaging in delivering the designated program in line with the values and ethos of the school.
* Regularly communicate with stakeholders (students, parents, school staff and other personnel) to ensure smooth operation.
* Organise program activities including resources, transport, operations, staff, etc.
* Keep abreast of best practice in the program area through ongoing professional reading and research, and provide professional learning for staff in line with developments.
* Supervise staff quality within the Program through collegial support, advice, observation and facilitation of reflective response to issues.
* Contribute to school leadership through active participation in staff and middle leadership meetings.
* Manage financial and material resources within the area of responsibility, including budgeting and expenditure of allocated funds.
About You
* Eligibility to work within Australia for the period of appointment.
* Committed, practising Catholic (or in an ecumenical school, a committed member of one of the faith traditions represented).
* Demonstrated leadership in school‐based programs and support for staff professional development.
* Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, staff and stakeholders.
* Organisational expertise in managing logistics, resources, budgets within program areas.
* Commitment to professional learning and implementation of best practices in education.
* Active contribution to school leadership and fostering a collaborative work environment.
