About the role
An exciting opportunity available for an enthusiastic and skilled Occupational Therapist to join Eastern Health, working with an acute inpatient population on the general medical wards at Maroondah Hospital. This position involves providing occupational therapy assessment and interventions to support discharge planning with a varied caseload, including patients on the Acute Care of the Elderly team. The successful applicant will supervise staff and students and work closely with the allied health team to provide excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
* Provide occupational therapy assessment and interventions for acute inpatient general medical wards.
* Support discharge planning for a varied caseload including the Acute Care of the Elderly team.
* Supervise staff and students in occupational therapy practice.
* Collaborate closely with allied health team to deliver patient care.
Qualifications
* AHPRA Registration.
* Demonstrated clinical experience in acute occupational therapy.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
