Job Opportunity: Software Engineer
Csiro's National Collections and Marine Infrastructure supports marine science through world-class infrastructure, data systems and technical expertise.
The team develops and maintains digital platforms that support curation, publication and reporting of marine research data collected aboard the MNF vessel RV Investigator and from NCMI's infrastructure and biological collections.
This role involves designing, developing and maintaining web-based tools and data infrastructure systems that support the management and dissemination of marine research data.
Key Responsibilities:
* Designing and developing software applications to support data collection, analysis and reporting.
* Maintaining existing digital platforms to ensure they remain stable and secure.
* Working collaboratively with the team to develop new digital solutions to meet emerging needs.
Requirements:
* Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java or C++.
* Experience with database management systems and data analytics tools.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
