As Tivra continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Junior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic and diverse team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative setting alongside skilled professionals and experienced mentors.
You will play a key role in designing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality electrical services for a wide range of building projects, from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality drafting and design documentation within project deadlines.
- Develop 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant drafting software.
- Perform calculations, report writing, estimating, and design tasks under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Conduct electrical calculations such as Estimated Maximum Demand, lighting (DIALux, PowerPac), and NCC compliance checks.
- Attend site inspections, project meetings, and liaise with project teams as required.
- Coordinate with power authorities for supply connections.
- Familiarise yourself with office procedures, design techniques, calculation methods, and relevant Australian Standards.
- Conduct research to support project design, ensuring compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC).
- Collaborate with engineers and drafters to achieve project objectives.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, PowerPac EMD, and relevant electrical design and calculation software.
- Understanding of Australian Standards, NCC, and industry practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Positive attitude and a collaborative, team-focused approach.
- Familiarity with the National Construction Code (NCC) in Building Services Design.
- Understanding of building services systems.
- Ability to undertake designs from concept to completion with guidance from senior engineers.
- Capacity for independent research to support project design work.
