Job Description:
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria plays a significant role in addressing family violence by enhancing women and children's safety and holding perpetrators accountable.
This position contributes to this response, working with judiciary, registrars, support workers, police, legal services, and other agencies to effectively manage cases involving victims and perpetrators of family violence.
This involves building relationships with stakeholders, establishing community service links, promoting information sharing, and making referrals.

About the Role:
This position operates in a complex and sensitive environment that requires sound judgement and discretion.
You will assist parties in understanding court processes and available services, and liaise with legal and non-legal support services.
You will work collaboratively with the Court Coordinator regarding listing matters related to family violence and intervention orders.

Your Responsibilities:
* Exercise administrative, statutory, and quasi-judicial powers as a Registrar according to relevant laws and legislation.
* Coordinate cases within the family violence and intervention order jurisdiction.
* Prepare written correspondence, reports, presentations, and briefings on complex family violence issues for various audiences.
* In partnership with senior management, develop and deliver education programs for court staff and arrange professional development for support workers to enhance best practice.
* Contribute to the Magistrates' Court's network to ensure consistency in practice across the state.
* Monitor case flow indicators to achieve performance targets and address barriers to objectives.
* Develop and implement local practices to improve the operation of the family violence jurisdiction and related services at court.
