You'll play a key role in shaping system architecture and ensuring the successful integration of hardware and software components within a complex, safety‐critical environment.
What you'll be doing
* Translating high‐level requirements into detailed system and subsystem specifications
* Leading requirements elicitation, consolidation, and documentation across multidisciplinary stakeholders
* Developing concepts of operations, use cases, and lifecycle documentation
* Maintaining traceability between customer needs, design, and delivered outcomes
* Producing solution designs and interface documentation in collaboration with hardware and software teams
* Supporting program governance through documentation for design reviews and delivery gates
* Coordinating a small team (~6 engineers) to deliver technical outcomes
What we're looking for
This role suits a systems engineer who is comfortable operating in a dynamic delivery environment and can independently drive outcomes.
* Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non‐technical audiences
* Ability to balance cost, schedule, and quality in engineering decisions
* Experience eliciting, documenting, and managing complex requirements
* Confidence communicating system designs at multiple levels (executive through to engineering teams)
* Experience coordinating technical delivery within small teams
* Autonomous, proactive, and able to translate high‐level direction into structured delivery
Technical experience
* 5+ years' experience applying systems engineering methodologies (e.g. ISO 15288)
* Background in engineering, computer science, or similar discipline
* Experience integrating hardware and software into end‐to‐end solutions
* Familiarity with systems modelling / MBSE tools (e.g. Magic System of Systems Architect / Cameo)
* Strong documentation and version control practices (e.g. Git, Wikis)
