About the role
The Program Coordinator plays an important role in helping strategic programs run smoothly and deliver meaningful outcomes across the organisation. Working closely with Program Managers and project teams, the role provides coordination, governance, and day‐to‐day support across multiple projects.
From planning and reporting to risk tracking, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement, the Program Coordinator helps keep programs organised, connected, and on track. The role also ensures programs align with governance requirements while delivering operational improvements and long‐term value for Fremantle Ports and the wider community.
Reporting & Performance
Transform project information into clear and engaging program updates through dashboards, reports, and executive summaries. Monitor milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies, while providing insights that help leaders make informed decisions with confidence.
Contribute to building smarter and more effective ways of working by supporting program frameworks, tools, templates, and portfolio reporting. Help strengthen organisational capability and promote best‐practice program management aligned with MSP principles.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Support strong collaboration across program leaders, project teams, and stakeholders through clear and effective communication. Prepare presentations and briefing materials, assist with engagement activities, and coordinate messaging that supports successful organisational change.
What makes you a great fit?
Demonstrated experience coordinating complex programs or multiple projects in a structured project management environment.
Understanding of program and project management frameworks such as Managing Successful Programmes (MSP).
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining accurate program records.
Understanding of governance, accountability, and reporting requirements within government or highly regulated environments.
Proficiency in: Document Management Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Project or program management software, reporting dashboards and data analysis tools.
* Experience working in the Western Australian public sector or a Government Trading Enterprise.
Knowledge of WA Government procurement and contract management policies.
Experience supporting infrastructure, ICT, or transformation programs.
