Role Overview
Manager, Enterprise Risk at CSIRO leads the design and delivery of CSIRO's enterprise risk management strategy. The role partners with senior leaders to strengthen risk culture and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert guidance on contemporary and emerging risk management frameworks to enhance CSIRO's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
Lead the development of CSIRO's organisational risk profile, including formal risk workshops and reporting to the Executive Team and Board.
Support Research Units and functional areas to apply the risk management framework and integrate risk into critical business processes and decision-making.
Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders to promote a risk-aware culture and ensure the integrity of risk management practices.
Lead the development and review of risk assessment processes, controls and documentation, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in risk management, business administration, compliance or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in enterprise risk management, including development, implementation and continuous improvement of risk management frameworks.
Proven ability to provide expert advice on contemporary and emerging risk management practices and support integration of risk into business processes and decision-making.
Demonstrated people leadership with ability to empower and develop professional talent and foster inclusivity and high-performance in multidisciplinary groups.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Highly developed interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Role Particulars
Location: Any CSIRO Australia location – Flexible/hybrid working arrangements available.
Salary: AU$135k – AU$158k per annum (pro rata for part-time), plus 15.4% super.
