About Us
Coastal Rehab Hub and Cancer Rehabilitation & Lymphatic Solutions is a specialist allied health practice supporting patients through cancer treatment and recovery. Using state-of-the-art technology, we also provide post-surgical recovery, sports injury rehabilitation, and treatment for a wide range of conditions. Whatever brings a patient through our door, our team is committed to exceptional, compassionate care at every step of their recovery.
About the Role
This is not a sit-and-answer-phones role. We are looking for someone who takes genuine ownership of the front-of-house environment — someone who notices what needs doing and does it, without being asked. You will manage appointments, billing, patient correspondence, and day-to-day administration — but what will set you apart is your character.
What We're Really Looking For
Skills and experience matter, but this role will be filled based primarily on who you are:
• Ownership — you take genuine pride in your work and are passionate about the role you play in the patient experience
• Initiative — you see what needs doing and you do it
• Reliability — you show up, follow through, and can be counted on
• Work ethic — you give full effort without needing to be managed
• Coachability — you welcome feedback and use it to grow
In practice this means: following up outstanding accounts without being reminded, triaging patients to the right appointment type, completing medical correspondence on time, and walking out from behind the desk when you see something that needs attention.
Our patients are often walking through the door on some of the hardest days of their lives — and many call us at their most anxious and overwhelmed. As the first point of contact, you bring the energy in person and on the phone. A strong, warm, and confident manner is not a nice-to-have — it is fundamental to this role.
What You'll Bring
• Previous medical reception experience
• Knowledge of HICAPS, Medicare rebates and DVA claims
• Familiarity with medical terminology, ideally cancer treatment or lymphoedema
• Strong computer skills; Cliniko experience an advantage
• Ability to multi-task under pressure — this is a must
• Genuine warmth and the ability to communicate with patients and families who are going through something hard
How to Apply
Submit your resume and a cover letter (one page maximum) describing a time you took initiative at work — something you did without being asked. We are less interested in what you did and more interested in why.
Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
Apply via Seek or send your application directly to the practice.
