The Team
The Medical Orderly and Security Services team at the Royal Hobart Hospital plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, supportive and well-coordinated hospital environment.
The team works collaboratively to ensure the smooth operation of patient movement, staff support and security functions across the facility.
As part of this team, you will contribute to delivering reliable access control and safeguarding the hospital's staff, patients, visitors, property and operations.
The Role
The Access Control Coordinator is critical in ensuring the effective operation of security services within the hospital environment.
This position combines administrative expertise with security support responsibilities to maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in administrative management, including office organisation and procedures, document management, and financial management, utilising well-developed computer skills.
High level communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with other teams and members of the public including the ability to show initiative, discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Demonstrated ability to implement and ensure compliance with a range of policies, protocols, and procedures, including the capability to review and propose recommendations for improvements in service delivery to ensure the objectives of the work units are met.

Details of appointment
Permanent, full-time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time and casual vacancies.
Salary
$81,915 to $94,263 per annum.
Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement ****.
