About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer/Senior Technical Officer to join our Development Infrastructure and Growth Branch, a team at the forefront of facilitating growth in Toowoomba Region.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert technical advice on all engineering aspects of development applications as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Undertake complex development assessment tasks, including:
o Operational Works application assessment
o Reviewing engineering design plans and technical reports
o Preparing high-quality technical reports
o Conducting pre-start meetings and construction inspections
o Recommending works "on maintenance" and "off maintenance"
o Reviewing As Constructed documentation and plan sealing
o Build and maintain strong working relationships within Council and the development industry.
* Apply advanced communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

What You Bring
* Bachelor or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
* Corporate membership (or eligibility) with Engineers Australia
* WHS White Card (or willingness to obtain)
* Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence
