About the Role
The Risk & Compliance Lead coordinates enterprise risk, compliance, quality and WHS functions to ensure ATC Work Smart meets its legal, regulatory and governance obligations. Reporting to the Corporate Services Manager, you will lead implementation and continuous improvement of organisation‐wide systems, support external audit readiness, and cultivate a positive "right‐first‐time" culture across all teams.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys both detail and big‐picture thinking, can build strong relationships, and brings calm clarity to regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and improve enterprise risk management frameworks and the organisational risk register.
* Lead compliance and quality activities across RTO, GTO, WHS and NDIS‐related operations.
* Coordinate audit programs, including internal audits, external audit readiness and evidence preparation.
* Oversee document control, template governance and data quality in core systems.
* Drive WHS compliance, incident reporting, investigations and safety committee activities.
* Provide coaching, training and practical support to uplift staff capability.
* Prepare data reports, dashboards and regulatory applications (TAC, DTWD, etc.).
* Identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities through analysis and monitoring.
About You
* Experience in compliance, quality or risk roles in regulated environments (RTO, GTO, VET or similar).
* Understanding of RTO Standards, competency‐based training and the AQF.
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and process‐improvement mindset.
* Confident communicator able to influence and coach across all levels.
* Advanced capability with Microsoft 365 and compliance/quality systems (SMS/LMS/DMS/WHS).
* Knowledge of document control, audit methodologies and incident management.
* Qualifications in quality auditing and/or risk management.
* Experience with government contracts, external audits, or the apprentice/trainee ecosystem.
