We are looking for a motivated and patient-focused individual to join our team in a multi-facility role supporting staff, patients, and clients across Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD). This position plays a vital role in ensuring effective outcomes in revenue generation, cash flow management, and quality assurance, all in alignment with NSW Ministry of Health and NBMLHD policies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising revenue by thoroughly assessing Emergency Department and direct to ward admissions to determine accurate classifications, including but not limited to Medicare ineligible patients, Department of Veterans’ Affairs, workers' compensation, and armed forces personnel. You will also participate in a seven-day rotating roster, ensuring admitted patients are presented with the correct election choices based on their circumstances and that these details are accurately recorded.

What You Will Bring To The Role
- Exceptional customer service, verbal communication and negotiation skills and ability to have difficult conversations with patients and their families
- Willingness and ability to work a 7-day rotating roster with demonstrated ability to be flexible
- Accurate word processing skills and demonstrated competent use of computer programs including, Word, Excel and electronic patient records
- Ability to work independently and problem solve with limited guidance
- Demonstrated high level organisational skills and ability to prioritise competing demands, with minimal direction, to ensure timely completion of all work
- Demonstrated ability to write clear and accurate documentation and correspondence
- Demonstrated accurate judgment in applying financial classifications, NSW revenue related policies and the principles of the Australian Health Care Agreement
- Ability to undertake documentation reviews and quality checks
