Role Overview

Responsibilities

* Draw on substantial expertise in Industrial Relations and a demonstrated ability to interpret complex Enterprise Agreements.
* Play a critical role in payroll compliance and drive effective remediation processes.
* Collaborate seamlessly across departments, partnering with Legal teams to clarify and action compliance requirements, coordinating with Project Managers to ensure milestones are met, and engaging with IT professionals to translate IR needs into technical solutions.
* Use an analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail to design comprehensive testing regimes and robust review processes, ensuring that the payroll platform not only meets current obligations but also remains resilient to future changes in industrial regulations.
* Take a proactive approach to identifying gaps, proposing enhancements, and documenting outcomes that contribute directly to the integrity and success of the new system.
* Commit to best practice, compliance, and continuous improvement, positioning yourself as a trusted partner and key contributor to this transformative project.


Qualifications

* Considerable experience in industrial/employee relations, including specialist expertise in employment law.
* Hands‑on experience with payroll, a detailed understanding of relevant legislative frameworks, and a proven track record of successfully implementing compliance measures within large organisations.
* Experience engaging Unions and a strong understanding of union priorities and practices.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present findings, explain regulatory considerations, and facilitate training.
* Tertiary qualification with a degree in Employee/Industrial Relations/Human Resources/Law or a related discipline.
