The Department of Medical Imaging at Mackay Base Hospital has an opportunity for a Radiologist to join their team on a Permanent Full-Time basis (80 hours per fortnight).
Responsibilities
* Provision of high‐quality clinical services to the medical imaging department and education of medical staff, students, allied health professionals, nursing staff, and community groups.
* Participation in patient safety activities, audit, research, and service planning.
About The Team
The Medical Imaging Department, located on the ground floor of the E‐Block at Mackay Base Hospital, delivers a range of services including General Radiography, Computed Tomography, Ultrasound, Intervention, Fluoroscopy, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and Theatre II. The site also provides remote rural reporting for MHHS rural sites, including CT services at Proserpine and Bowen. The team is staffed with five radiologists, four sonographers, four full‐time equivalent consultants, 1.5 FTE STP funded RANZCR trainees, and two full‐time equivalent unaccredited registrars.
