About our client: Our client is a leader in professional services and consulting, providing strategy, consulting, technology and systems integration, and operations to a range of clients across Government, Financial Services, Utilities and more.
About the role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solution Manager SME with SAP Basis and SAP Solution Manager expertise to lead strategic SAP initiatives. The role requires deep knowledge of SAP Solution Manager, hands-on experience, and a track record of delivering SAP projects. This role can be based in any location around Australia.
Applicants must have an active NV1 AGSVA clearance or be willing and eligible to obtain NV1 clearance.
Contract availability: initial 6-month term with likely extension on a long-term project.
What you’ll do and deliver: lead SAP Solution Manager strategy, design, and implementation; manage large SAP Solution Manager projects; mentor junior consultants; engage with clients and partners; ensure quality and risk management; drive innovation in SAP Basis/ Solution Manager environments.

Key Responsibilities
* Solution Management Guidance: Guide clients on SAP Solution Manager strategy, configuration, customization, and integration.
* Solution Architecture and Design: Design and implement SAP Solution Manager landscapes for scalability and future needs.
* Project Leadership: Lead large SAP Solution Manager projects, coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners.
* Technology Innovation and Thought Leadership: Stay current with SAP Solution Manager trends and promote ongoing improvements.
* Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks in SAP Solution Manager deployments, updates, and migrations.
* Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with SAP Solution Manager technology providers and partners.
* Mentorship and Skill Advancement: Mentor junior consultants and support their development.
* Client Engagement: Act as main contact for key clients, translating business requirements into SAP Solution Manager solutions.
* Quality Control: Ensure high-quality SAP Solution Manager deliverables through robust QA processes.
The successful candidate
* A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline, or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
* Extensive experience as an SAP Basis Consultant with emphasis on SAP Solution Manager, SAP ECC, SAP HANA, and/or SAP S/4HANA.
* Strong understanding of SAP Solution Manager administration, including monitoring, performance tuning, security, and backup/recovery.
* Proficiency in SAP NetWeaver with focus on SAP Solution Manager and related technologies.
* Experience with SAP HANA Administration and database management systems.
* Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across client, stakeholder, and team interactions.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
* Proven track record of delivering complex SAP Solution Manager projects with client satisfaction and business value.
* Proficiency in English, written and spoken.
Note: This role requires a Senior Solution Manager SME with SAP Basis expertise to drive strategic SAP decisions, lead complex projects, and foster innovation.
