Australian Liquor Marketers (ALM) is the Liquor wholesale division of Metcash. We are the largest wide-range wholesaler to the independent liquor trade. The Opportunity
The Warehouse Supervisor role supports daily warehouse operations, working closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure safe, efficient outcomes and consistently meeting customer and supplier expectations. A strong focus is placed on safety, HACCP compliance, team engagement, and maintaining positive relationships through hands-on leadership and on-floor support. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based at the ALM Townsville Warehouse (Currajong), working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.
In this Role
* Daily operational requirements – planning and executing key initiatives and daily business requirements as directed by Branch Operations Manager and Warehouse Manager
* Transport load sequencing and staging to ensure smooth traffic flow for Townsville site
* Receivals container delivery scheduling to ensure a smooth traffic and workload for ALM Townsville site
* Maximise warehouse efficiencies and ensure on-time deliveries to customers
* Ullage and warehouse labour are kept to a minimum
* Pick rates and incorrect/non-supplies are kept to a minimum and monitored
* SHE execution and training
You're Likely a Match If
* 5+ years previous warehouse experience
* Experience in management of 3PL and 4PL transport providers
* Experience dealing with conflict and/or having difficult conversations
* Building and maintaining collaborative relationships both internally and externally
* Experience in interpreting workforce plans
* Experience executing site plans
* Experience leading a small team
