**Property Asset Program Manager**
**About the Role**
This role is responsible for developing and managing a program of work to design, plan, coordinate, and deliver projects for land and building assets across Sydney Water's property portfolio. Aligning with asset lifecycle objectives, the key focus will be on the West Region, particularly those involving construction, fit-outs, upgrades to accommodation and amenities, and ensuring building compliance. The role will have oversight of our key facilities contractors and will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to meet objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of property-related projects, including planning, task coordination, and delivery.
- Develop and update detailed Project Management Plans with clear goals, timelines, risks, costs, and deliverables that meet business needs.
- Prepare business cases, track progress, report on KPIs, and ensure post-project reviews are completed with outcomes shared across the team.
- Make sure quality, safety, environmental, and industrial relations plans are in place and followed, while balancing resources across multiple projects.
- Hold regular meetings with service providers, track and close out defects, and manage contract variations to keep everything on track.
- Develop and implement asset management strategies and plans.
- Conduct lifecycle assessments and recommend upgrades or replacements.
- Maintain and update asset registers and management systems.
- Prepare and manage asset audits and inspections.
**About You**:
You should ideally hold a relevant degree qualification (property, engineering or similar) and hold membership of Engineers Australia or a similar body. Also you will have:
- 10+ years' experience working in design and construction, and/or project management
- Demonstrated experience in managing the delivery of multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects
- Experience in managing various forms of commercial arrangements, dealing with local and other government authorities to drive 'value for money' outcomes
- Demonstrated proficiency in identifying and managing avoidable project risks including reputational risk triggers, able to resolve issues in a proactive and timely manner, and monitor and report progress.
