Jacobs' ANZ Survey and Reality Capture business provides access to the latest equipment, software, and best-practice processes to deliver high-quality surveying services, solutions, and advice. We work on major infrastructure projects across Transport, Resources, Water, Power and Energy, and the Built Environment.
Land Surveyor – Central and Western Data Capture team, based primarily in Brisbane, QLD, with opportunities to support our broader Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) business.
Reporting to the Central and Western Team Leader and the Data Capture Section Leader, you will join an inclusive, collaborative, and highly motivated team of industry-leading surveying professionals. In this role, you will contribute technical expertise across a range of survey projects, applying professional judgement and industry best practice to deliver high-quality outcomes. You may lead projects or discrete components of larger projects and take accountability for ongoing activities and objectives. You will work largely autonomously with minimal supervision, act as a technical resource for less-experienced colleagues, and progressively build client relationships. You will also support senior staff with proposal development and work-winning activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver technical survey components across complex infrastructure projects
* Apply industry best practice and internal processes to achieve project goals
* Work independently while collaborating effectively within project teams
* Provide guidance and support to colleagues as required
* Contribute to client engagement, proposals, and business development efforts
Qualifications
* A relevant tertiary qualification in surveying or a related discipline
* Demonstrated experience as a Land Surveyor, ideally on major infrastructure projects
* Strong understanding of project objectives, deliverables, and client expectations
* Practical knowledge of industry best-practice survey methodologies
* A positive, proactive approach to both team-based and autonomous work
* High attention to detail and strong collaboration skills
* A strong commitment to safety, quality, and professional conduct in the field
* Evidence of initiative, ongoing technical development, and readiness for increased responsibility
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
