Your Recent Role
- Provide support for the holistic wellbeing of students
- Help to foster positive key interpersonal relationships within the school (including student‑staff, student‑student, and home‑staff)
- Liaise with community service organisations when required
- Create opportunities for the social and emotional development of students
- Enhance student engagement with the parish and broader community
- Support pastoral care initiatives as requested

Essential Criteria
- Meet the NSCP’s minimum qualification requirements (a Certificate IV in Youth Work or Pastoral Care (or equivalent) which must include competencies in ‘mental health’ and ‘making appropriate referrals’)
- Demonstrate Christian values when engaging with children, parents, staff and the general public
- Demonstrate the ability to perform the role as outlined by the National School Wellbeing Program
- Have an understanding of childhood development and the issues pertinent to children/young people
- Have the confidence, ability and experience to communicate and work with children/young people
- Implement a student‑focused approach when working with key stakeholders
- Demonstrate the ability to work consistently and positively within a team
- Ensure that timely records are maintained on the service provided to the school
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Successful candidate to undergo a National Criminal History Check
- Accreditation for Support Staff in a Catholic School (Category A, Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or willing to achieve
