About the role
Lead asset management strategies for Hydro Tasmania's hydropower water conveyance assets, including pipelines, penstocks and related infrastructure, providing technical oversight and guiding long‐term investment priorities. You'll partner across engineering, operations and leadership to optimise asset performance, reliability and risk across the asset lifecycle.
Salary range $140,887 – $163,308 plus super

Responsibilities
* Develop lifecycle strategies for hydropower water conveyance assets.
* Review designs, inspection reports and engineering proposals for critical infrastructure.
* Lead initiatives to improve asset performance, reliability and risk outcomes.
* Support long‐term planning and prioritisation of asset investment programs.
* Manage specialist consultants delivering civil and asset management work.
* Build strong partnerships across asset, operations and engineering teams.
Qualifications
* Degree in Civil Engineering and eligible for CPEng status.
* Experience reviewing designs for pipelines, penstocks or major civil assets.
* Strong asset management and lifecycle planning capability.
* Experience influencing investment planning and risk‐based decisions.
* Exposure to hydropower or asset‐intensive industrial environments (desirable).
