Quality Assurance Technician Location: Penrith Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, plus alternate Sundays 8:00am to 1:00pm paid at 1.5x rate Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Overview NXT Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established and expanding manufacturing business in Penrith to recruit a Quality Assurance Technician. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining product quality standards, carrying out inspections and testing procedures, and supporting production teams to ensure products consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to quality assurance. Key Responsibilities Perform regular inspections to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications Conduct visual and functional checks to identify defects, inconsistencies, or non-conformities Carry out routine testing, sampling, and monitoring activities on products and equipment Accurately record inspection findings, test results, and quality data Investigate quality concerns and support root cause analysis activities Assist with internal audits and compliance checks Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements Work closely with production teams to maintain quality standards throughout manufacturing processes Ensure all quality procedures are followed in line with company policies and regulatory requirements Support management in maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient production environment Requirements Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify issues that may otherwise be overlooked Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Methodical and process-driven approach to work Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic Desirable Skills Previous experience within quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing, or food production environments Knowledge of quality standards, audits, and compliance procedures Experience conducting inspections, testing, or sampling activities Understanding of continuous improvement principles Please contact the team at 01228 812585 or info@nxtrecruitment.co.uk.
