Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director Corporate will provide executive leadership across a broad portfolio including Finance and Reporting, Governance and Performance, People and Wellbeing, Digital Technology Services, Procurement and Audit and Risk. The role carries responsibility for strengthening organisational capability, financial sustainability, governance maturity and service excellence across Council.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will contribute to Council’s strategic direction, organisational culture and long-term planning framework. Working closely with the CEO, Councillors and executive colleagues, you will provide trusted advice on financial management, governance, risk, organisational performance and emerging sector challenges while ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory obligations.
The successful candidate will be a highly capable executive leader who combines strategic insight with strong operational judgement. You will bring demonstrated experience leading complex corporate services portfolios and a proven ability to strengthen governance, improve organisational performance and lead through change.
Experience across finance, governance, people and culture, technology or broader corporate functions within Local Government, public sector or similarly complex environments will be highly regarded. Equally important will be your leadership approach. Council is seeking a values-led executive who can build high-performing teams, foster accountability and collaboration and create an environment where people are supported to achieve their best.
You will be an influential communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships across Council, government agencies, regulators and the broader community.
