* Salary: $77,000 - $90,000 plus superannuation.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join our team.
Duties and responsibilities
* Develop detailed sketches, layouts, and technical drawings for construction recruitment‐related infrastructure projects, including civil works associated with client developments in roads, drainage, and building sites.
* Support project delivery by assisting with on‐site inspections and field‐based testing activities for construction materials and site conditions across client construction projects.
* Interpret engineering briefs provided through recruitment placements and apply appropriate technical standards, methods, and tools to meet client project requirements.
* Collect, organise, and analyse field data from construction sites and engineering surveys to support planning and decision‐making for client‐driven projects.
* Perform calculations and technical assessments to assist in evaluating design feasibility, construction progress, and compliance with project specifications.
* Prepare cost estimates for materials, labour, and construction activities to support recruitment clients in budgeting and project planning.
* Monitor construction works on behalf of recruited clients to ensure compliance with engineering designs, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
* Coordinate with site supervisors and engineering teams to assist in scheduling and supervising maintenance, repair, and rectification works across project sites.
* Conduct field and laboratory testing of construction materials such as soil, concrete, and asphalt to ensure quality standards are met for client projects.
* Assist in compiling survey data, including traffic and site investigations, to support recruitment clients in engineering reporting and project evaluation.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Relevant qualification.
* At least 2‐3 years of previous experience in a similar role.
* Strong technical drawing skills for producing and interpreting engineering plans.
* Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering specifications, construction drawings, and site documentation accurately.
* Sound knowledge of construction materials, testing procedures, and relevant Australian Standards and compliance requirements.
