We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Risk and Assurance Officer to join our Risk and Assurance team within the Office of the CEO. This role plays a key part in supporting the City's governance framework and promoting a positive risk culture across the organisation.
About the Role
Reporting to the Coordinator Risk and Assurance, you will:
• Provide expert advice and support on enterprise risk management, including the development, implementation and monitoring of risk frameworks, registers and controls.
• Conduct and facilitate risk assessments, reviews and workshops across the organisation.
• Prepare high-quality reports, correspondence and analysis to support informed decision-making.
• Support the review and testing of the City's Crisis Management and Business Continuity Plans.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation to promote awareness and continuous improvement in risk and assurance practices.
This is a dynamic and varied role that requires strong analytical skills, sound judgement, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
About You
You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with:
• A qualification in Risk Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in a similar risk, assurance, or governance role within a large organisation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret legislation and apply it in a practical way.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
• C Class Driver's Licence.
