About The Role
Help shape the provision of spiritual and pastoral care of residents, families and staff at one of our mid‐northern NSW sites – Calvary St Pauls, ensuring their diverse spiritual and emotional needs are identified and responded to with exceptional sensitivity, compassion, knowledge and skill.
As a member of the care team in the delivery of services to residents and their family members, you will be responsible for ensuring that the diverse pastoral and spiritual needs of residents, their families and staff are identified, prioritised and responded to in a timely manner.
As the Pastoral Care Practitioner some of your main duties will include:
* Providing spiritual and emotional care support to residents, according to established triage priorities
* As required, providing spiritual care support to residents' family members and to staff
* Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
About You
You are a highly engaged professional Pastoral Care Practitioner and seek to uphold the dignity of people living in residential aged care and make a meaningful contribution to their wellbeing.
For experienced Pastoral Care Practitioners:
* Recent experience working in a similar care role in aged care, health care or community care
* A tertiary qualification in pastoral care, spiritual direction, counselling or similar
* Clinical Pastoral Education and/or equivalent
* Eligibility for SCA certified membership
