Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Botanist to join our team.

You will have the opportunity to coordinate and lead field-based ecology survey work, including baseline surveys, monitoring programs, and targeted flora and weed assessments across various bioregions.

Additionally, you will be responsible for leading and managing ecological projects, supporting internal clients with multi-disciplinary tenders and deliverables.

You will also plan, deliver, and analyze ecology surveys independently or collaboratively, performing impact assessments and designing mitigation strategies.

Furthermore, you will assist in managing the technical performance and delivery of ecological projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong technical skills and experience in botanical surveys, as well as excellent field skills and experience conducting surveys in various environments.

Our ideal candidate will possess a degree in environmental science, ecology, biology, or a related field, and have at least 7-10 years of professional experience in ecological consulting, vegetation assessments, or related fieldwork.


Required Skills and Qualifications

* Strong technical reporting skills and proficiency in GIS desktop and data collection packages (e.g., ESRI ArcGIS and Fieldmaps)
* WA driving license and ability to work outdoors on short and extended field programs
* Working knowledge of Commonwealth and State environmental legislation (EPA technical guides, BC Act)
