1. Ability to carry out a physical role, with demonstrated building maintenance/handyman and grounds keeping aptitude.
2. Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage and maintain grounds and gardens and complete grounds works as required within a school environment. Skills in the use of tools/technical equipment as relevant to the position.
3. Demonstrated technical knowledge, expertise and proficiency in minor repairs and maintenance to the interior and exterior of buildings within a school environment. Skills in the use of tools/technical equipment as relevant to the position.
4. The capacity to engage and liaise with contractors on the school site as required and manage minor projects and developments being mindful of OHS practices and protocols.
5. Demonstrated ability to maintain a database system (AIMS) to track cyclic maintenance, repairs and contractors.
6. 6 Demonstrated abilities to be flexible and work independently to maintain the school buildings and grounds.

This role is fulltime Monday - Friday 7.30am - 3.36pm. Attendance is required during school holiday periods which appropriate payment will be made.
This position requires a motivated individual willing to undertake a range of functions mainly in the areas of general grounds and building maintenance. Ideally the successful applicant should be experienced in these tasks and be familiar with the needs and working of a school.

**Position Purpose**
- The Facilities Managers primary function at Woodmans Hill Secondary College is to ensure the school's buildings and grounds are well maintained and presented and all work undertaken complies with statutory obligations and Department Standards.
- The Facilities Managers role in the school community is to be able to communicate effectively and develop a good working relationship with staff members, students and contractors at all levels.
- The Facilities Managers role at the Woodmans Hill Secondary College will undertake personal development opportunities to enhance the position.
- The Facilities Manager role is required to work flexibly and reliably within tight timelines and with mínimal direction in a team environment.
- It is important the Facilities Manager operates in a professional, courteous, efficient manner always, respecting confidentiality.
