As Tivra continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and experienced
Intermediate Mechanical Engineer
to join our dynamic and diverse team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment alongside skilled professionals and experienced mentors.
You will play a key role in designing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality mechanical services for a wide range of building projects, from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed mechanical designs and documentation that meet project requirements, codes, and deadlines.
Deliver technically sound and cost-effective solutions in line with the National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards.
Produce and review technical drawings, models, and calculations using AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant design tools.
Prepare and submit authority applications and liaise with external stakeholders as needed.
Attend site inspections, client and project meetings, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Conduct building assessments and ensure designs comply with applicable standards.
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project deliverables.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and authorities.
About You
Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
3–5 years' experience in mechanical services design within the building services industry.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant mechanical design software.
Solid understanding of Australian Standards, NCC, and industry practices.
Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Positive attitude and a collaborative, team-focused approach.
Experience across multiple project sectors (e.g., education, healthcare, commercial, or residential).
Capability to manage design packages with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with project coordination and client-facing communication.
Progress toward or attainment of Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status preferred.
