Support daily ICT operations through helpdesk, desktop support, device setup and network access management.
Purpose of the Position
This position is part of a specialist team providing desktop IT support services to staff and students at Batchelor Institute. As part of the ICT team you will be required to support the day‐to‐day maintenance of client desktops, associated hardware, software, operating systems and network connectivity. Monitoring ICT Helpdesk, answering phone calls and other duties guided by supervisor.
Duties
* Perform a help desk function, including provision of first level computer and associated hardware and software support via the telephone.
* Answer phone calls and monitor the ICT Helpdesk.
* Assist in the configuration of computers and the receipt and dispatch of equipment.
* Configure PCs, laptops, Macs and iPhones for staff use.
* Create accounts for new staff, allocate devices and provide ICT induction.
* Configure staff access cards, landline phones and provide necessary access for the network.
* Assist in the Desktop Support role by responding to jobs logged by the ICT helpdesk as directed, including providing first‐level computer and associated hardware and software support.
* Keep the asset management system up to date through audits and continual upkeep of the system.

* Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated initiative and managing workload priorities with experience in project management.
* Understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and practices, and ability to comply with Institute WHS policies and procedures.
* Basic knowledge of the 3CX (Business Communications), Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Salto.
* Demonstrated hands‐on experience with the use of computer technology within a networked computing environment.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Experience in Windows and Apple OS, installation, configuration and maintenance of PC/laptop hardware, and mobile devices.
* Basic knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy obligations.
Desirable
* Experience working with an education organisation.
* Experience and knowledge of managing Apple Macintosh.
