Role Overview
Located in Adelaide's Outer Harbor and reporting directly to the Marine Services Team Leader you will work as part of a team to provide marine services to vessels and meet maintenance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Mooring of vessels
* Berth preparation
* Wharf and jetty maintenance
* Civil works and general earthworks maintenance activities
* Gardening duties of areas involving the maintenance of cutting, weeding, hand spraying and fertilising
* Operating small plant and mechanical equipment including forklifts
* Navigational aid maintenance
* Trade related activities
About You
* Trade qualifications in either building, carpentry, mechanical, welding / fabrication, maintenance fitter
* Administrative experience and strong computer literacy
* Ability and experience working both independently and in teams
* High level of attention to detail and the ability to problem solve
* Experience working in a multi skilled environment
* Experience in writing JSEA's and risk assessments
* Current Driver's Licence
Desirable
* Master V Certificate of Competency
* Marine Engine Driver grade 2 (MED2)
* An applicant holding an unrestricted Coxswains Certificate
* Pilot transfer and launch maintenance operations (Deckhand)
* Demonstrated experience in a leadership / supervisor role
