From our headquarters in Western Australia, we design, build, operate, and support equipment that services some of the world's largest mining operations. Our capabilities span mining services, heavy equipment manufacturing, engineering, transport, and innovative OEM products, including the Panther Low Loader range.
As we continue to grow our OEM business, we are seeking a commercially driven Manager – OEM Sales & Support to help convert opportunity into revenue and support the next phase of growth for our Panther product range and future OEM solutions.
About the Opportunity
This role is responsible for generating and securing work for Piacentini's OEM business.
Reporting to the General Manager – Engineering, you will be responsible for managing customer relationships, identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, coordinating tender submissions, supporting marketing initiatives, and converting opportunities into sales.
You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, project delivery, spare parts sales, marketing, and business development personnel to ensure opportunities are effectively managed from initial enquiry through to contract award.
We are looking for someone who can identify opportunities, engage customers, understand their operational challenges, communicate value, and successfully secure work.
Success in this role will be measured by your ability to build relationships, develop opportunities, and deliver profitable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
Sales and Customer Engagement
* Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers
* Identify, qualify and pursue OEM sales opportunities
* Conduct customer meetings, site visits and product demonstrations
* Understand customer requirements and develop solutions that deliver value
* Prepare and present commercial proposals and quotations
* Lead commercial discussions and support contract negotiations
* Maintain and manage the OEM opportunity pipeline
* Deliver sales and revenue targets
Tendering and Commercial Management
* Coordinate and prepare tender submissions
* Work closely with engineering and operations teams to develop technical and commercial solutions
* Prepare business cases, pricing submissions and commercial recommendations
* Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting
* Support contract reviews and commercial risk assessments
Market Intelligence and Business Development
* Monitor market activity, industry trends and competitor offerings
* Identify emerging opportunities within the resources sector
* Support business development initiatives and customer engagement activities
* Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to the broader business
* Assist with identifying future product and service opportunities
Marketing and Brand Support
* Coordinate participation in trade shows, industry events and customer demonstrations
* Support development of marketing material, case studies and promotional content
* Work with internal and external marketing resources to increase awareness of Piacentini's OEM products
* Promote the Panther brand and future OEM offerings
Internal Coordination
* Work collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Projects, Spare Parts Sales and Business Development personnel to ensure customer opportunities are effectively supported throughout the sales process
* Ensure customer requirements are effectively communicated and managed internally
* Support successful project handover following contract award
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the OEM business
About You
You are a commercially minded professional who enjoys engaging with customers, identifying opportunities and securing work.
You understand that successful sales are built on relationships, credibility, technical understanding and delivering genuine value to customers.
You are analytical and data-driven, comfortable using information and market intelligence to support decisions, while also possessing the confidence and communication skills required to influence customers and close opportunities.
* Minimum 10 years' experience within the Australian mining, resources, heavy equipment or related industries
* Experience working for an OEM, equipment manufacturer, equipment dealer or similar organisation
* Demonstrated success in sales, account management, business development, aftermarket support or commercial roles
* Proven ability to secure work and develop customer relationships
* Strong commercial and negotiation skills
* Experience preparing proposals, tenders and quotations
* Strong analytical and reporting capability
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Current C Class Driver's Licence

* Experience within the mining mobile equipment sector
* Experience with heavy haulage, earthmoving or mining support equipmentExperience working with major mining companies and mining contractors
* Engineering, business or commercial qualifications
* Exposure to aftermarket support, product support or equipment lifecycle management
