The Opportunity
This is a standout leadership opportunity for an experienced mining professional to take ownership of Open Pit Mining Operations at Gruyere. You will play a pivotal role in shaping operational excellence, leading teams, and driving step-change improvements in safety, productivity, and cost performance. With a strong focus on collaboration, you'll partner across contractor and operational functions to optimise outcomes, embed innovation, and deliver sustainable performance aligned to Life of Mine objectives. This role offers the chance to make a genuine impact on both people and performance, within a complex, large-scale hard rock mining environment.
What You'll Do
* Lead and inspire large‐scale open pit mining operations to achieve budget, production, and safety targets
* Optimise assets, resources, and support functions to maximise operational outcomes
* Champion innovation and continuous improvement to unlock efficiencies and lift performance
* Oversee operational planning, reporting, and alignment to Life of Mine objectives
* Foster a strong, inclusive culture where collaboration, accountability and care underpin performance
What You'll Bring
* Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering and a valid WA Quarry Managers Certificate
* Extensive senior operational leadership experience within the hard rock mining industry
* Deep expertise in open pit mining practices, contractor management, and operational optimisation
* WA 1st Class Mine Managers ticket is highly regarded
* A highly collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence, align and inspire across diverse teams
