26th May, 2026 Part-Time Cost Accountant – Flexible Role (3 Days per Month) Location: Southeast Commitment: 3 days per Month (Flexible Days/Hours) Additional hours required during the auditing periods Start Date: Immediate start preferred Industry: Manufacturing (Food manufacturing experience preferred) We are seeking a reliable and experienced Accountant to support a client’s manufacturing business based in Southeast suburb. This flexible, part-time role is ideal for a capable professional who thrives in a self-managed environment and is looking for stable, recurring monthly work. Key responsibilities: The accountant will be responsible for the following ongoing and periodic tasks: Monthly tasks: Issue the Monthly Profit & Loss reports Lodge the Business Activity Statement (BAS) to the ATO by the 21st of each month Quarterly tasks: Lodge Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns to the ATO quarterly (4 times per year) Annual budgeting: Complete the annual budget for each financial period Note: Our financial year runs from 1st October to 30th September The annual budget must be prepared and submitted by the end of August each year Year-end financial audit: After the end of the financial year (30th September), compile and summarise the 12-month Financial Statement Prepare all necessary documentation for the Financial auditor’s annual audit Attend and participate in the financial audit, respond to auditor questions, and provide supporting documents as required The ideal candidate will have: Experience in accounting within a manufacturing environment ( food manufacturing experience highly preferred ) Strong understanding of BAS, FBT, profit and loss reporting, and budgeting Familiarity with year-end audit preparation High level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills Ability to work autonomously with flexible scheduling Work Schedule Approximately 3 days per month Flexible with days and hours – choose what suits you best On-site role To Apply: Please email your resume and a brief cover note outlining your relevant experience and your availability to commence to Ai Kageyama Business Partner at Agenda Consulting recruitment@agenda.com.au
