Head of Manufacturing / Plant Manager

We're partnering with the ANZ division of a global manufacturing group to appoint a Head of Manufacturing for a flagship Western Sydney site. This is a rare opportunity to take full operational ownership of a key manufacturing business at an important stage in its evolution. The organisation is undergoing change and performance uplift, with a strong mandate to strengthen Lean capability, operational delivery and site leadership. It is a true site leadership role where you will influence operations, people and performance in a fast‐paced, hands‐on environment.
The Role
You will have end‐to‐end accountability for manufacturing and site operations, including production performance, cost, quality and delivery outcomes.
* WHS leadership across the site
* Maintenance and facilities oversight
* Continuous improvement and Lean initiatives
* Development and capability building across the operations leadership team
* Driving operational standards in a visible, floor‐based leadership style
About You
We are open on background, however the successful candidate will likely bring:
* A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering foundation is preferred
* Experience in complex manufacturing environments
* Practical experience implementing Lean or continuous improvement methodologies
* Exposure to organisations that have undergone acquisition, consolidation or transformation
* Strong people leadership experience within an Australian operational context
* Commercial awareness and full operational ownership capability
* High energy, resilience and a hands‐on leadership style
