The Opportunity
As a Mechanical Engineer II, you'll own the design and analysis of the structures and mechanical systems of hypersonic vehicles. Working alongside a high-performing team of engineers and designers, you'll ensure that the mechanical integrity and performance of the vehicles is maintained throughout the development process.

What you'll be doing
Responsibilities Include
* Design and analyse mechanical structures and systems for cutting-edge hypersonic vehicles
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure structural integrity, performance and reliability.
* Use advanced simulation and analysis tools to evaluate performance under different operating conditions.
* Contribute to innovative technologies and process improvements that enhance vehicle capability and efficiency.
* Work closely with senior engineers, while managing external partners and suppliers as required
* Play an active role in building a safe, high-performance engineering environment, taking accountability for yourself and your team.
* From time to time, undertake other responsibilities, consistent with skills, qualifications, and experience.

What you'll bring To hit the ground running in this role, you'll need:
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
* 4+ years of experience in mechanical systems design and simulation in the aerospace sector.
* Strong technical background in mechanical design and analysis, including experience with computer simulations and analysis tools.
* Experience with aircraft design.
* Experience with design for production.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to obtain any applicable security clearance or background checks.
* Right to live and work in Australia.
