Senior Supervisor (Mechanical) – Job no: Work type: Full Time Permanent Location: ACT
We0re looking for an experienced Senior Supervisor (Mechanical) to join our team on a landmark water infrastructure program in Canberra. This four-year Design and Construct upgrade of the Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre will modernise waste handling systems, support future growth and prepare for potential changes to air emission standards. Located near central Canberra, the upgrade will strengthen and future-proof critical infrastructure for the region.
About the role
* Lead and supervise mechanical works on site, ensuring alignment with program, quality and safety requirements.
* Coordinate subcontractors and self-perform crews across installation and commissioning activities.
* Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all site and regulatory requirements.
* Work closely with engineers and project teams to manage interfaces and resolve issues.
* Monitor progress, productivity and resource allocation across mechanical scopes.
* Support planning, sequencing and staging of works in a live or complex environment.
About you
* Proven experience as a Supervisor or Senior Supervisor on mechanical installation projects.
* Background in water, wastewater, civil, utilities or heavy industrial projects highly regarded.
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems such as pumps, treatment equipment, dosing systems or similar.
* Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors on complex builds.
* Solid communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
* Commitment to safety, quality and delivering outcomes.
